Tricks Edit

Parkour has tricks that you need to learn to proficiently move around.

Playing the game is the best way to practice! If you're having any trouble performing a specific trick, go to the Tutorial by pressing the Tutorial button, which looks like a question mark (?) in a circle, or the Advanced Tutorial Button, which looks like an exclamation mark (!) in a circle. Not all of the moves in this list are available in the tutorials, so you should look at the how-to part of each trick and learn it from there.

Opening of a Door (Very Easy) Edit

It's honestly just a door.

To open a door, press 'Scroll Click'.

Slide Roll (Very Easy) Edit

Slide Rolls are one of the most basic tricks in the game.

To perform a slide roll, run, hold shift, [after getting under what you wanted to] press 'Scroll Click'.

Vault Jump (Very Easy) Edit

A Vault Jump is a great way to get that little bit more distance and height.

To perform a Vault Jump, run towards a small obstacle and jump and hold space.

Safety Roll (Very Easy) Edit

A Safety Roll is a great way to relieve fall damage, completely if timed right. But extreme heights will prevent you from doing this unless you land on a pad/garbage pile or use certain tricks.

To perform a Safety Roll, press and hold shift right when you're about to hit the ground.

Speed Jumping (Very Easy) Edit

A way of going fast without just running. This used to be the fastest way to get somewhere, but since the Grappler and Adrenaline Belt came out, it has been pushed off its podium.

To Speed Jump, start running somewhere and jump, when you hit the floor again, jump again.

Adrenaline Jumping (Very Easy) Edit

A way of going fast without just running. The Adrenaline Belt is needed for this trick. This is just Speed Jumping with the Adrenaline Belt.

To Adrenaline Jump, press your 'Back Gear' keybind (make sure the adrenaline belt is active!), then start running somewhere and jump, when you hit the floor again, jump again.

Drop Down (Very Easy) Edit

Drop Downs are used to negate 10 studs when dropping.

To perform a Drop Down, press Shift at the very edge of a ledge.

Ledge Grab (Easy) Edit

Ledge Grab is used when a user reaches an edge of a building.

To perform a Ledge Grab, go to the ledge and back up, wait about half a second and then press space.

Spring Board (Easy) Edit

A Springboard is a much higher vault jump. This move is not used very much by experienced players.

To perform a Springboard, run towards an obstacle and begin holding space before you are able to vault.

Long Jump (Easy) Edit

Useful for crossing large gaps between buildings.

To perform a Long Jump, you need to get momentum and then press Scroll Click, then click Space at the edge, or it won't work.

Dropkick (Easy) Edit

Performed after dropping down a ledge, useful for navigating over large gaps.

To do a dropkick, go onto the ledge that you want to dropkick off of. Press shift to drop down the wall, and then do a long jump off of the wall. If done correctly, The user should launch off of the wall, and hopefully onto the survivable ground.

Wallrun (Easy) Edit

Wallruns are used to go from platform to platform using a wall.

To perform a wallrun, jump from a platform and make contact with a wall, then look in the way you want to go. Press or hold space. You need to always be parallel with the wall, don't look to your left or right.

Speed Dash (Easy-Medium) Edit

A way to go faster than someone and easily beat them in a chase. The Grappler is needed for this trick.

To perform a Speed Dash, you grapple onto a surface (must be ground or top of building) and right when the grapple hits the ground, press space bar.

Drop-Down Wall Slide (Easy-Medium) Edit

A way that gets you just that bit farther down.

Start from very close to the edge of a building, then hold shift. (Only possible in the first person.) This allows you to go smoothly down the side of a building and allows you to start a combo of wallclimb boosts or wallruns with no health penalty. It should be noted that this move gives no combo increase.

Drop-Down Wallrun (Easy-Medium) Edit

A Drop-Down Wallrun is very useful for reaching lower buildings from a higher point in the map.

To perform a Drop Down Wallrun, drop down from a building, go back to the wall, then wallrun. This negates more fall damage than a dropdown.

Glider Fall Cancel (Easy-Medium) Edit

An easier way of fall cancelling but requires gamepasses. The Paraglider and the Grappler is needed for this trick. This can be done horizontally or vertically.

What you have to do is long jump or fall to wherever you want to do this trick, grapple on the surface you want to, then press your glider keybind right after.

Slide Dash (Medium) Edit

A slightly faster way to travel than Speed Dashing. The Grappler is needed for this trick. This may be wrong, but through tests [I've] done, this is the fastest way of traveling in Parkour.

To perform a Slide Dash, you slide then wait until you're about a quarter into the slide to then Speed Dash.

Vault Long Jump (Medium) Edit

An useful technique when you want to go fast.

To perform a Vault Long Jump, you have to vault over an obstacle and perform a long jump. When you vault, wait until you reach the end of the obstacle, and then quickly long jump. Preferably used with Speed Vault due to the amount of speed earned.

Wallclimb Boost (Medium-Hard) Edit

A Wallclimb Boost is a very useful trick. It is used for getting to higher places such as Vertex and Crest.

To perform a Wallclimb Boost, come close to the front of a wall, look up, jump to initiate a Wallclimb, and then flick your mouse to the left or right within 90 degrees, and jump again. This must be done extremely quick; the faster you do this the more height you will gain.

Pull Down (Medium-Hard) Edit

A way to go max speed down in the air. This can be done after simply Static Long Jumping or in the air and wanting to go max speed down to a red pad or trash pile. The Grappler is needed for this trick. This might seem simple, but is hard to do if you have not practiced.

(Normal): To perform a Pull Down, you need to simply be in the air and pull yourself down; you then must press shift to roll right after.

(Red Pad/Trash Pile Version): To perform a Pull Down, you must long jump off a building, turn 180 degrees, grapple on the building while looking down, and aim for the red pad or trash pile.

Directional Wallclimb Boost (Medium-Hard) Edit

Very useful for traversing more difficult terrain.

To perform a Directional Wallclimb Boost, wallclimb boost while holding W and then immediately look in the direction you want to go.

'Fake' Wallclimb Boost (Medium-Hard) Edit

This is a way to go up but not too up if you don't want to die from fall damage. This is slightly easier and a more versatile trick if you use the Powergrip Gauntlet.

To perform a Fake Wallclimb Boost, come close to any wall, look slightly up, turn 45 degrees right [or left] and back, then double-tap space as fast as possible.

Double Wallrun (Hard) Edit

A Double Wall-run is the same as a normal Wallrun, but you do it twice on the same surface.

To perform a Double Wallrun, initiate a Wallrun on a wall. Once the Wallrun meter is low, stop the Wallrun by jumping, turn to the opposite direction (180 degrees) and perform a Wallrun backwards (hold S instead of W). You can do this the other way around as well.

Double Wallclimb Boost (Hard) Edit

A great way to go up buildings that works well with Static Long Jumps.

To perform a Double Wallclimb Boost, Wallclimb Boost, then Wallclimb Boost again at the peak of the first.

Mag Bounce (Medium-Hard) Edit

Extremely useful for boosting off of buildings when your Long Jump is recharging. This can only be done with the Mag Rail.

To perform a Mag Bounce, turn sideways (either way), and press your 'Interact' keybind. Press shift while doing this to do it farther down.

Static Long Jump (Medium-Hard) Edit

Extremely useful for climbing buildings and is the main trick used while running across walls.

To perform a Static Long Jump, turn around (180), so you're facing away from the wall, and press Space + Scroll Click. (Scroll Click right before Space, like a normal Long Jump.) You can press any of the WASD keys at the same time to gain more horizontal distance.

Infinite Mag Bounce (Medium-Hard) Edit

Extremely useful for getting to the bottom of buildings. This can only be done with the Mag Rail.

To perform an Infinite Mag Bounce, Mag Bounce, Static Long Jump, and do it again until you have reached your desired destination.

Rising Static Long Jump (Hard) Edit

Useful for braking upwards momentum, but less efficient and controls less than an Upwards Wallrun.

While going upwards from a trick like a Wallclimb Boost, do an SLJ to brake the momentum and avoid unnecessary fall damage/go faster.

Sideways Mag Bounce (Hard) Edit

Extremely useful for boosting on buildings when your Long Jump is recharging. Sometimes you need a second long jump that doesn't go fully sideways. This can only be done with the Mag Rail.

To perform a Mag Bounce, turn to a certain angle where you can still Mag Bounce and quickly turn straight. Then press your 'Interact' keybind and then quickly turn straight.

Bounce-Boosted Static Long Jump (Hard) Edit

A way to get very high without a Wallclimb Boost or using the Grappler. The Mag Rail is needed for this trick.

To perform a Bounce-Boosted Static Long Jump, do a Static Long Jump and a Mag Bounce immediately after.

Zipline Fall Cancel (Easy-Hard) Edit

This trick is used to decline all fall damage from any height you want. However, there must be a zipline.

Simply fall from anywhere you want, making sure there is a zipline under you. Once close to the zipline, you have to press Shift and a millisecond later your 'Interact' keybind. This is so you don't die/get damaged.

Bounce-Boosted Wallclimb Boost (Hard) Edit

Can be used to go higher while climbing, but limits control. The Mag Rail is needed for this trick.

To perform a Bounce-Boosted Wallclimb Boost, you will have to wallclimb boost then Sideways Mag Bounce, making your upwards momentum last longer and launching you higher, but getting you to a different part of the building for better or worse.

Altitude-Glide Bounce-Boosted Static Long Jumps (Hard) Edit

A way to get very high without a Wallclimb Boost or using the Grappler. The Mag Rail and Paraglider are needed for this trick. These movements are also known as "AG-BB-SLJs."

To perform Altitude-Glide Bounce-Boosted Static Long Jumps, be in the air, do a Bounce-Boosted Static Long Jump, and glide forward by the wall until you can do it again.

Spring Place (Easy-Hard) Edit

This is a movement that is sadly not very useful and can only be done three times. Though, a trick is a trick. You will need the Spring Kit for this trick.

To perform a Spring Place, you must have momentum, when you do, you will place a spring in front of where you are and jump on it.

Grapple Jump (Very Hard) Edit

This is a way of getting the height of a boost but not boosting at the same time. The Grappler is needed for this trick.

To perform a Grapple Jump, you have to look up, Grapple, then right when the Grapple hits the building, press scroll click and then space.

Pad Cooldown Cancel (Very Hard) Edit

This trick is used to cancel the Falling animation when you land on a red pad.

To do it, you must fall on one of its sides and immediately perform a long jump. Doing so will avoid you from having to go through the falling animation which slows down your running speed.

This trick will work on garbage piles if you find the right spot, you just have to be super precise.

Long jumping in the upper-slope of the garbage pile will sometimes allow you to perform this move. (One known area in the image to the right.)

Coil Pad Cooldown Cancel (Easy-Very Hard) Edit

An altered version of the Red Pad Cooldown Cancel.

To do this you must have some vertical velocity (such as long jump, or Wallclimb Boosting). Doing this will allow you while holding shift be in a position where you're holding your legs. As you're holding your legs you press s to go backward, after going backward before you hit a red pad you wanna hold w. Doing this will pop you out of the leg holding position and lets you walk canceling the animation.

Other Notes:

  1. You don't have to be on the edge as shown in the video to do this you can be within the middle of the platform.
  2. Excuse the video quality for I had to rush together settings in OBS, as well as YouTube's video compression with the dark.

Dropdown Wallclimb Boost (Very Hard) Edit

Useful for players without Powergrip Gauntlet or the Grappler, this trick gives the ability to pass a high gap by everyone.

To perform a Dropdown Wallclimb Boost, wallrun down the building you're standing on, Static Long Jump and Wallclimb Boost onto the wall of the building you're going to. Do a Static Long Jump while holding shift then Wallclimb Boost to the top.

Upwards Wallrun (Very Hard) Edit

Useful for braking upwards momentum and controlling better after a Long Jump or a Wallclimb Boost.

To perform an Upwards Wallrun, Wallrun when gaining height from a Long Jump/Wallclimb Boost/other tricks.

Double Bounce-Boosted Wallclimb Boost (Very Hard) Edit

Used to get maximum height with Wallclimb Boost and the Mag Rail.

To perform a Double Bounce-Boosted Wallclimb Boost, you will have to do a Bounce-Boosted Wallclimb Boost, Static Long Jump, then do another Bounce-Boosted Wallclimb Boost. You can skip the Static Long Jump if your timing is right, but you will always go higher if the Static Long Jump is included.

Height Combo (Very Hard) Edit

Used to gain the maximum height a user can get from a wall without extra gear.

To perform a Height Combo, you first do a jump high enough for you to do a static long jump, whether it be by vaulting springboarding, or just by a simple jump. Then, string these tricks in succession: Long Jump/Static Long Jump, Wallclimb Boost, Static Long Jump, Wallclimb Boost, Static Long Jump, Wall Run, Static Long Jump, Wall Run (opposite direction), Static Long Jump. Make sure to utilize the wall run as much as possible. Always Static Long Jump at the very peak of your Wallclimb Boosts/Wallruns or it will fail.

Powergrip-Length Mag Bounce (Very Hard) Edit

Can be used to cross a far gap and climb the building on the other side without the Powergrip Gauntlet.

To perform a Powergrip-Length Mag Bounce, Long Jump off of a building, press shift when you reach the other building, and do a Sideways Mag Bounce. Proceed to climb the building.

Combo Burst (Medium-Very Hard) Edit

This is useful for building up your combo while running. This might seem very simple, but can be very hard and may be fatal if this has not been practiced.

To perform a Combo Burst, when near a ledge, do a drop down, and move your camera so the edge is in front of your camera. You will then perform a normal vault or vault jump.

Fall Cancel (Insane) Edit

This is a trick where you can fall from any height and live. The Grappler is needed to do this trick. This is hard to perform without practice.

To perform a Fall Cancel, you're gonna jump, and make sure you get to the side of the building. Put your cursor into a position where it's as far as it can reach horizontally. Then get to a favorable distance where you can be far enough to not get damaged by the Grapple but close enough to start wall running. When by the building and at the distance, activate the Grappler and start wall running.

Zipline Long Jump (Insane) Edit

Useful for going up ziplines instead of down ziplines. Hard because of the speed of the trick.

To perform a Zipline Long Jump, get onto the pole of a zipline (not a user-created zipline), Long Jump off of the pole, then get on the zipline immediately after (only works for the lower pole, maybe the high pole if the zipline isn't steep).

Vault Ledge Grab (Insane) Edit

The second type of Ledge Grab. When you do it, it resets your wall runs and your wallclimb boosts so you can cross a very long gap without touching the ground, but is extremely hard due to the timing.

To perform a Vault Ledge Grab, you have to fall down to a building (or tall object). When you think you are close enough to the corner, so you can 'vault jump', Vault Jump at the corner. One of the few techniques for reaching long distances from high grounds.

Ledge Dash (Insane) Edit

A very handy long jump alternative. Hard due to timing but very useful to get across large gaps. The Grappler is needed for this trick.

To perform a Ledge Dash, you have to use your grappler, then jump (when you're right on the edge). It is hard to time since you have to jump right on the edge and you have to time your grappler but very effective.

Bounce-Boosted Height Combo (Insane) Edit

Used to get maximum height at any cost with the Mag Rail.

To perform a Bounce-Boosted Height Combo, Double Bounce-Boosted Wallclimb Boost, Static Long Jump, Wallrun, Bounce-Boosted Static Long Jump, Wallrun, then Bounce-Boosted Static Long Jump.

Turn Around Fall Cancel (Extreme) Edit

This is simply a Fall Cancel where you can fall and still live if your Wallrun for that side is already used. For example, say you're running, and you used your left Wallrun. Also say that you just long jumped off of a building to Fall Cancel on your left side but you already used the left Wallrun. If so, you can do this trick. The Grappler is needed to do this trick.

To perform a Fall Cancel, you're gonna jump, and make sure you get to the side of the building. Put your cursor into a position where it's as far as it can reach horizontally. Then get to a favorable distance where you can be far enough to not get damaged by the Grapple but close enough to start wall running. When by the building and at the distance, activate the Grappler, turn around, and start wall running.

Corner Wallrun (Extreme) Edit

Used for going around corners with only one Wallrun but is extremely hard to do.

To perform a Corner Wallrun, Wallrun towards a corner and move your mouse very tightly along the corner and press and hold W with A or D depending on the side you're going to. Make sure the cursor is parallel to the wall or else the Wallrun will cancel. You will wrap around the corner with a single Wallrun.

Backwards Corner Wallrun (Demanding) Edit

Used for going around corners with your backwards Wallrun but is one of the hardest tricks.

To perform a Corner Wallrun, Backwards Wallrun towards a corner and move your mouse very tightly along the corner and press and hold W with A or D depending on the side you're going to. Make sure the cursor is parallel to the wall or else the Wallrun will cancel. You will wrap around the corner with a single Wallrun.

Unpatched Glitches Edit

The glitches in this game are only useful for free roam and that are prohibited in Time Trials.

Crawl Launch Glitch (Easy) Edit

Launches you across the map. It's quite useless but can sometimes be used to climb buildings that are far away, but you can earn yourself a dunce cap if you use it too many times, even though it is allowed.

Death Teleport (Easy-Medium) Edit

Simply allows you to climb buildings instantly by going on a wall and dying or going as high as you can on a wall then dying after. It can be hard to do on towers like Crest Tower.

To perform a death teleport, die of fall damage while touching the side of a building. You will spawn at the top.

Ladder/Truss Launch Glitch (Hard) Edit

A glitch which you are launched into the sky.

To perform a Ladder/Truss Launch Glitch, wallclimb boost on anything you can climb on, and there is a chance you will fly high up into the sky. Maybe this would be useful for climbing Vertex/Vertigo Tower.

You might also be sent downwards as well. So not so good either. However, going up and down can be somewhat predicted and controlled by telling before doing the glitch, pressing W while climbing, after a certain angle you will go downwards instead of upwards.

[Another truss-related glitch involves the player pressing space on the top edge of the hanging truss platforms. On the off chance it glitches, it sends the player straight up into the sky.]

Vault Ledge Fling Glitch (Insane)Edit

Useful for being fast but way too hard to perform.

It's basically a vault ledge grab in speed mode, but it's a lot harder as you need to press it in the perfect moment that you glitch in the ground a bit, then you have the insane speed for less than a second because you are on the building.

Coil Boost (Hard)Edit

A glitch that allows the player to jump extremely far. This can be extremely useful and fun to do.

To perform a Coil Boost, you have to move upwards (doesn't matter if you're moving horizontally), while moving upwards, hold shift so your character tucks their legs in (hence the name "Coil"), turn your back to the obstacle and long jump while holding A, D or S. The higher a player's frame-rate, the longer the distance. Players with under 60fps are highly unlikely to successfully perform the glitch.

Patched Glitches Edit

Pretty much an archive for the past glitches.

Slingshot Glitch (Easy-Medium) Edit

A patched glitch that was used to send you back flinging to the wall using a user-created zipline.

If you were to perform a Slingshot Glitch, you would go on a user-created zipline and press space at the same time, and then press space when the time is right. The longer you stayed on the zipline, the farther you would go.

Unlimited Wallclimb Boost Glitch (Medium)Edit

An overpowered patched glitch that would let you do infinite Wallclimb Boosts.

If you were to perform an Unlimited Wallclimb Boost Glitch, you would need to Wallclimb Boost, then front flip (which is a gamepass) then you could do infinite Wallclimb Boosts.

Structure Noclip (Hard-Extreme) Edit

This glitch can also be used to Death Teleport, however you may never touch on the noclipped block again (unless you rejoin). So consider this before you make getting on top of something impossible.

This glitch requires you to precisely use the Ledge Grab and reset/fix on the structure you wish to bypass collision. But there is no real great use other than having fun.
